As an expanding, award-winning business with over 200 years’ experience in the estate agency industry, it is no surprise that Chancellors - Estate Agents has realised the benefits that apprentices can offer to their business. They have expanded rapidly over recent years and with the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in May of this year, have made a decision to embrace the apprenticeship talent pool.

Amber Vandenberghe, Chancellors Recruitment Manager, commented:

“We have been working with Bracknell & Wokingham College to explore the benefits of taking on apprentices at our Head Office in Bracknell, with their support we now have a number of exciting opportunities for all ages particularly in administration and customer service roles, we aim to recruit enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our fast-paced departments at Head office in Bracknell”.

Louise Gigg, Head of Apprenticeships & Workforce Development said:

“Chancellors are another example of an employer recognising how apprentices can benefit their business, we have been working with them over the last few months to explain how they can utilise the Apprenticeship Levy and Reforms and look forward to assisting in the recruitment and development of their apprentices”.

The apprenticeship levy has come into force ensuring employers and learners get the skills they need and to invest in high-quality apprenticeships ensuring even more people have a chance to reach their full potential. The levy will require all employers in the UK with an annual wage bill of over £3 million to pay 0.5% of it towards funding apprenticeships. The money is being invested in quality training for apprentices and there is no upper age limit for becoming an apprentice.

Generous support will also be provided for smaller employers with an annual pay bill below £3 million and therefore not required to pay the levy. The government will pay 90% of the costs of training and assessing their apprentices.

Chancellors have always encouraged exceptional performance and offer a platform where everyone wants to be a top performer along with opportunities, rewards and benefits, the work that is being done with Chancellors and Bracknell & Wokingham College will lead to some great career opportunities for all ages.
