Bracknell & Wokingham College’s sports hall was transformed into a glamorous venue for the college’s annual Achiever Awards, a glittering ceremony dedicated to our students’ achievements.

The Achiever Awards are given to students because of their outstanding effort and passion for their course. As well as high achieving academic students, the awards also celebrate those who have overcome adversity to excel in their particular course area.

Guests were welcomed to the event on the red carpet and were then taken to their tables for drinks and canapés created by our Hospitality students. Guests then enjoyed entertainment from our Performing Arts students before the ceremony got underway.

The lucky award winners and their families and friends were joined by guests from local businesses and the local mayors of both Bracknell and Wokingham.

Pete Reed OBE, three times Olympic gold medal rower was guest of honour and spoke about his achievements and how perseverance had helped him achieve his goals, encouraging the students to keep chasing theirs.

Princess Offeh
Campbell Christie CBE, Principal and CEO handed out the awards to the deserving students and closed the ceremony by praising the staff and students on their recent achievements:

“Tonight was all about the individuals, but I was quite keen to make sure that our community leaders and all of the families were here to celebrate with us. Hearing the impressive achievements of all of our students is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone working here and of our students’ will to succeed.”
