19 December 2016

After 11 years as a Governor and with the past 5 years as Chair of our Corporation, Robin Cops has passed responsibility over to incoming Chair, David Cook.

The succession took place at the end of our Full Corporation meeting on Wednesday 14 December and was marked by the handing over of the ceremonial ‘Chair’s Baton’.

Valedictions were delivered for Robin from Vice Chair Corporation Malcolm Dudson and College Principal Campbell Christie CBE.

Robin said “What a privilege it has been to be the Chair and to see the raising of standards over the last 5 years so that the College now enjoys the best FE results in the whole of the Thames Valley region.  I am really proud of what the staff do to help every learner achieve their full potential”.

David added, “I’m really passionate about education for all.  Being the son of a miner, and seeing how important education was for a good start in life, I want to serve the College as its new Chair and to continue to deliver its mission – right at the heart of our community”.
