Thursday 18 August has seen another excellent year for Bracknell & Wokingham College's students receiving their results with an outstanding 100% pass rate for the seventh year running.

The hard work and determination from students and tutors throughout the year has been proven with fantastic results of 43% A* to B and 79% A* to C grades.

Head of A Levels, GCSEs and Creative Arts, Ginette Cox said:

"Yet again, our students have done us proud by producing an excellent set of results. This is testament to their hard work and the tireless efforts of teachers to go beyond standard class-time to provide as many revision sessions as possible.

"It was great to see students studying together outside of class or sitting with teachers when additional help was requested. They have now been presented with terrific results – some students achieving exceptional grades of 2 or 3 A*s.

"We aim to add value to every student that walks through our door so that when they leave they are ready for whatever they set their sights on, be it university or the world of work. We can help make that happen."

This has been proven by Timothy Woods who has been accepted at Oxford University having received an A* in Maths, A in AS Further Maths, A in Physics and an A in Chemistry. "I would definitely recommend Bracknell & Wokingham college; the support I have received here has been world class! I am elated that I got into the University of Oxford to study Maths, I can't quite believe it."

Another one of our students Emily Rowe said that "College has boosted my confidence in every aspect, the lecturers are really nice and have always been there for support." Emily has recently taken a full time role at the college as a Finance Assistant, studying AAT in the evenings.

"There's a good support system at the college, much better than when I was at sixth form and I have better results this year too. I'm now off to study Business at Portsmouth University"

"I prefer college to sixth form because you can do your own thing and they treat you as an equal. I'm excited to study Photography at Birmingham University."

"I have loved the last two years, I can't praise the support system enough! I am so happy that I got into Oxford Brookes University to study Film Studies."

Principal and Chief Executive Campbell Christie CBE, added:

"It has been another very successful year for our students with a 100% pass rate for the seventh consecutive year. It was also very pleasing to see that more students gained A to C grades than in the previous year. All credit goes to our hard working students and our lecturer's dedication and professionalism.

"I am sure that those going on to Higher Education will be equipped with the skills and knowledge gained at the college to succeed in their chosen course. I wish them every success for the future."
