On the 26th of February, Bracknell and Wokingham College A level students from History, Government and Politics and Sociology jetted to Berlin for the weekend. The trip gave the students an opportunity to be exposed to the beauties of the German culture and fabulous time was had by all.

Students and staff visited the German parliament (Reichstag), Brandenburg Gate, Sachsenhausen concentration camp, DDR Museum (Museum of East Germany) and the Jewish Museum. There was also some currywurst involved!

Cameron Moreton (student) – “what was really great was that there was at least one aspect of every place that interested me – all of the things we did were fascinating and/or enjoyable and I have certainly learnt a lot.”

Emily Evans (student) – “Great balance between planned excursions and free time – on a trip to Berlin in my previous school there wasn’t much planned for the trip, but this time we had a full and exciting schedule, but also a little bit of time to ourselves.”

The college will be running this trip bi-annually in order to give the opportunity to every student on a relevant A level course within their two year programme.
