College praised in Employer Satisfaction Survey

Bracknell & Wokingham College has excelled in the recently published FE Choices Employer Satisfaction Survey results with a score of 8.8 out of 10.

Comparing against the national average results and those of other Berkshire colleges, Bracknell & Wokingham College stands in a great position to offer employers a professional and hardworking service when it comes to training their staff. The national average for FE colleges is 7.9 and for all organisations, including private providers, the average is still only 8.2.

Bracknell & Wokingham College:  8.8 out of 10

Berkshire College of Agriculture:       6.3 out of 10

East Berkshire College:                      8.1 out of 10

Activate:                                               7.4 out of 10

Newbury College:                               7.4 out of 10

James Taylor, Vice Principal Curriculum & Quality, was delighted with the result and said:

“It’s always nice to receive positive feedback from employers. We know we offer a comprehensive professional service and the survey results confirm this. We tailor our provision to meet employers’ needs which allows their employees to progress with recognised qualifications.

“The results show that the employers the college delivers to are extremely happy with the service they receive; and when comparing ourselves to our local competitors we are rated more highly when it comes to offering business training.”

Employers undertaking the survey also had the option to leave extra comments about their training provider. KCA UK, a drug, alcohol and mental health services company, and client of Bracknell & Wokingham College, had this to say about the college:

“I have had a great experience with Bracknell from the start and arranging our initial assessments to being allocated an assessor to then actually starting working with the assessor. The assessor has been flexible and accommodating to our needs and has really understood the challenges of our service in the current climate. “

Another of the college’s customers, Berkeley Installations Ltd, an electrical installation and maintenance company, added these comments to their survey:

“The overall service and assistance received by the college for our training is fantastic. As a medium size organisation we would not be able to employ the apprentices without the backing received from the college staff.”

Crown Estate Commissioners, one of the largest property owners in the UK, were also complimentary about the service the college provides to them:

“My dealings with the assessor have been very good, he is always available for questions, we have regular meetings to discuss the apprentices performance at college, we could not be happier with the way the college operates and would recommend any one to use them.”
