Adult Art & Ceramics end of year exhibition

14 July 2015

Art and ceramics exhibit 2015
Our Adult Community Learning Art & Ceramics students are holding an end of year exhibition displaying the pieces they have crafted throughout the year.

Monday 13 July saw the students hold a private viewing where the artists were on hand to discuss their work. Over 100 guests attended the private viewing and many more are set to visit the exhibition during its run.

Shirley Boyt, Ceramics for All student, from Earley, thought it was a great opportunity to see what other students on the craft courses had created:  “I enjoyed seeing the diversity of the styles in the ceramic work. What a fantastically high standard throughout.”

Art lecturer, Christine Rogers, said: “The students produce a vast amount of artwork over the year so it’s great they have this opportunity. I was so impressed with the quality of work and huge range of talent on show. It was really inspirational and makes all the hard work put in during the year worthwhile.”

Janet Wickham, Art - Drawing & Painting student, from Wokingham, was pleased to be displaying her work in the exhibition: “I like how you can see the progression in our work and how the exhibition has been open to all levels of work allowing everyone in the adult art and ceramics courses to show their work.”

The exhibit runs Tuesday 14 July – Thursday 16 July 2015 10am-4pm at Woodley Hill House. Call 0118 984 7600 for more information.
