iPad Survey Winner

Bracknell & Wokingham College had the happy task of presenting the prize of an iPad Air to lucky local winner, Ellen Worrell.

Ellen, from Bracknell, took part in a survey the college ran to find out more about people’s thoughts on part-time courses after finding it on Facebook:

“I was really happy when I had the call to say that I’d won. I work as a translator and teacher for young children and will be able to use the iPad Air for interactive games in my teaching, so this is a really useful prize to have won.

“I’ve not tried a course here before but my husband has been looking at joining one of the Photography courses and I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for a course for me.

Ellen continued to say how she supports the college’s effort in teaching and training young people and even visits the college’s Hair & Beauty students in the Harmony salons:

“I come here to get my hair done by the students and I’ve even recommended a couple of people to come along too who have and loved the results. The students are supervised throughout the treatments so I never have to worry that anything will go wrong and I’m always pleased with my hair at the end. Next I’m going to be booking in for a massage.”

Karen Biggin, Head of Faculty - Adult & Professional, Learning Services and Saul Pope, Head of Department: Community Learning and Languages, Study Support, were delighted to present the iPad Air prize to Ellen on behalf of Bracknell & Wokingham College.

Karen Biggin, said: “It is not very often that we are able to give away prizes, so it is a real pleasure to be doing this today. Not only it is great that Ellen is being given an iPad Air that will help her in her job and home life, but we, as a college, have been given invaluable information thanks to the survey participants.”

Saul Pope, added: “We will be able to take the information gathered through the survey and use it to take a really close look at what we currently offer for our adult part-time courses and help us decide what, when and where we offer our courses next year.

“We have part-time courses starting throughout the year and are always interested to hear from people who are interested in doing a course with us that we perhaps don’t currently run.”
