Students paint the town...

06 October 2014

Art & Design students created a mural in Princess Square, Bracknell. The ‘alphabet’ design, by Alex Solera, was chosen tobrighten up the children’s play area.

Students pitched their designs to the Princess Square team at Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP).

Helen Barnett, BRP's Marketing Manager, studied every proposal and chose one concept for the full size mural.

Helen said: “It was very difficult to pick a winner. The designs were fantastic and the standard was extremely high. I chose Alex’s bright and colourful design as it's educational, and suitable for young children.

"The ‘ABC’ design allows each student to add something of their own to each letter -it's a team effort.

All the students contributed to the final design and execution of the mural.

Alex Solera, 16, said of her winning design: “I wanted to design something educationaland include lots of different ideas.
