Sexual Health Clinic

06 October 2014

GP Samara Majid gave students information and support at a drop-in sexual health clinic.

The sensible young people were keen to find out more about the options available to them.

Dr Majid said:

“It’s my role as a Dr (GP Lead for The Young Person’s Sexual Health Clinic) to offer advice and promote healthy and safe attitudes towards sexual health.

“The clinic at the college offers a free, confidential, walk-in service for the students who require contraception, have or think they may have an STI, or just need information and advice..

“This is a great environment as the young people find it easy to approach me where they wouldn’t always be comfortable going to see their family doctor.”

Student Services Manager for the college James Langdon said:

“Samara will be in our Star Cafe and easily accessible to students every Tuesday during term time from 11.30-2pm. This is one part of the wider pastoral support we can offer to students to help keep them safe and healthy.”
