Epilepsy Society helps students understand the condition

06 October 2014

Thirty five Level 3 Health & Social Care students attended a presentation from the Epilepsy Society last week to find out more about the condition which seriously affects one person in every hundred.

The students learnt key facts about epilepsy, basic first aid procedures, the impact it has on individuals and how to deal with the condition. They also learnt more about the roles of the Epilepsy Society and support contacts.

Following the presentation the students felt that they had a much better appreciation of the equal opportunities issues facing those with the condition.  They also believe that the knowledge gained will help them in their chosen vocational area of studies and in life.
