Donated car accelerates learning

06 October 2014

We have recently secured the donation of a Vauxhall VX220 sports car. The car was donated to the college by Vauxhall UK and was previously used most recently at corporate events.

Martin White, Head of Motor Vehicle at the college said: “The fantastic donation of a VX220 sports car by Vauxhall has created a real ‘wow’ factor for our students. It has improved our ability to deliver first class teaching and produce some much needed motor vehicle technicians for the future.”

David Chambers one of the college’s Level 3 Motor Vehicle students said:

“This sports car will help us to further our knowledge on an up-to-date vehicle with some of the latest technology.”

Cherie Denton, Community Relations Officer for Vauxhall Motors said:
“Vauxhall wants to encourage the development of young people, to give them opportunities to experience technology that will assist them in the future.”

Motor Vehicle is just one of the many full-time courses you can choose from at Bracknell & Wokingham College. The next Open Event is on Wednesday June 27 from 4-7.30pm at our Church Road Centre (SatNavs RG12 1EH). Go to http://www.bracknell.ac.uk/ or call 0845 330 3343.
