Equal opportunities

Bracknell and Wokingham College is committed to challenging and combating discrimination against any individual or group of individuals.

Our Equality and Diversity policy statement confirms our commitment to providing equal opportunities for all members of the College.

Our Single Equality Scheme shows how we put this into practise.

Each new class creates their own Respect Agenda at the start of the year.

The 2010 Equality Act places an ‘Equality Duty’ on all public sector organisations. Read about how this impacts our College staff: Single Equality Scheme.

The College has a pro-active Equality and Diversity Committee which meets every half term and is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that the ‘equality duty’ is achieved. The Committee is responsible for setting and reviewing Equality and Diversity Objectives.

Safeguarding

Bracknell & Wokingham College recognises its responsibilities for young people/vulnerable adult protection, and for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.

The College aims to create and maintain a safe environment for those who use our premises.
All our Church Road students are issued with ID cards which must be used to get through the barriers. This way we know everyone in the college is there for the right reasons.
