100% club for bright sparks
Amid record surges in university applications in 2010,
every student completing their
Electrical/electronic engineering BTEC National Diploma has secured
a place from their first-choice university.
Jack Feakins, 18, from Woodley, will go on to Surrey University
to study a Masters in Electronic engineering. He said:
“I’ve had my results for a while – it’s been nice to know
so early that I’m in. It means I’ve got no worries
for summer.
“I’m doing a 5-year course including a year in industry. I’m
really looking forward to it.”
Students taking BTEC courses receive their results in
June, giving them plenty of time to confirm their
university offers or find other places through clearing.
“The course has prepared me for university very
well. It covers a wide range of academic, practical and
professional skills. The tutors were really knowledgeable and
passionate about their subject. College has been really
good.”
Places still available for 2010/11!
