London 2012 mascots

What do you think of the official mascots for London 2012?

Wenlock and Mandeville just don’t seem very British, as you don’t expect really shiny mascots from a country like ours. They look like they come from Japan.

The way they are made in a shed and given to children as presents is really corny and pointless. When they imitate Olympic athletes and run across a rainbow into the Olympic stadium they make a bit more sense, but I think they could have done so much more with them.

I just hope other countries like them and don’t think the 2012 Games will be as much of a shambles.
