Dear Santa, this year I would like Toys and Tins
For the second year running we
are one of the donation points for local people to donate for
the Toys and Tins appeal.

Every year Toys and Tins set up donation
points for everyone to come together and give anything they can to
help those less fortunate at Christmas; volunteers then pack up all
the donated items in December to give to local families in the
community at Christmas. But this year the support has grown, with
Bracknell Area Foodbank and Kerith Community Church also setting up
donation points.

James Langdon, Student Services Manager, said
“In the current financial climate students do not generally have as
much spare money to donate to good causes and to charities,
especially at seasonal times such as Christmas, but everyone has
access to a spare tin or two in the cupboard. Toys and Tins is a
great way for our students to make a contribution at this time of
year. It might seem that brining in one item won’t make much of a
difference, but if every one of our 1,100 full-time students and
our thousands of part-time students were to bring in a can of
beans, that’s a lot of beans!”
The college is proud to be part of such a
worthwhile cause and we hope we can help the appeal brighten
Christmas for more people than ever.
If you would like to help, please bring your
donations into college by Friday 2 December.
