Taster Day - Tuesday 12 July

We invited VIPS (that’s Very Important Prospective Students) into college to get a taste of college life. Over 300 prospective students came to college for half a day and took part in activities as diverse as a magic writing experiment in A Level Chemistry, taste test and design your own ‘Masterchef’ dish in Hospitality, volleyball drills in Sport and creating photograms in A Level Photography.

Learning Ambassadors – current students in subjects like Health & Social Care, Childcare and Uniformed Public Services – guided the VIPs around the college, took them to the Star Café for breaks and answered questions about college life.

The future college students left the building excited about their future and ready to start their courses in September.
