We will be open on Wednesday 30 November despite strike action by the University and College Union (UCU) and Unison. All facilities will be available to students.

College Principal & Chief Executive Campbell Christie CBE said:

“It will be business as usual for students at Bracknell & Wokingham College this week despite official strike action on Wednesday by the University and College Union (UCU) and Unison. The college will be open as normal and all scheduled examinations will take place. We will inform students of their individual timetables on the day.”

The local branch of UCU has stressed that they do not want to disrupt their students’ learning; their spokesperson said:

“Members here have no issue with Bracknell & Wokingham College. Staff who are not members of UCU will be able to go freely to and from work without interference. There will be a ‘peaceful picket’ outside college premises where people will be able to discuss how they feel about this national issue if they wish to.”
