SSE thinks the college is electrifying
Leading gas and electricity company, SSE have
awarded us with ‘Training Provider of the Year 2011’ award.
Paul Sinclair, Apprentice Training Contracts Co-ordinator, and Pete
Hodges, Regional Manager, visited the Electrical Installation
workshops to present the award to Campbell Christie CBE, Principal
of Bracknell & Wokingham College, and meet students and
tutors.
SSE has worked with 40 colleges since 2009,
with Bracknell & Wokingham College coming out on top every
year.
Paul Sinclair said: “I haven’t met a college
that can beat the service levels provided by Bracknell &
Wokingham College yet. I get the answers I need when I need them;
they produce regular progress reports and give good feedback. The
College has become a business partner for us, not just a training
provider and they have really risen to the challenge.”
The college is only one
of a few in the country to teach the Power Systems Level 2
qualification, which is designed for business needs.
