Steven Laird, from Normech Services Ltd., discusses Apprenticeships with our visitorsVisitors had the chance to meet the employers who take on our students as apprentices, as part of National Apprenticeships Week 2010. The employers came to answer questions and give advice to those thinking about getting qualified at work.

Steven Laird, Project Manager, Normech Services Ltd. said at the event:

“It’s important for businesses to put something back, and this is an ideal way to do it. If you make sure you get the right candidate, you’ll always make a return.

“I want people to know that age doesn’t matter when you start your Apprenticeship; it’s your attitude and reliability that counts."

Maths tutor Claire Matthews talks about A LevelsElsewhere on the day visitors were treated to tours of the new building, and quizzed our Principal Howard O’Keeffe and some of our current students.

Howard said:

“I’m delighted that we’ve had another successful event here in the new college. These events give potential students an excellent introduction to college life; I hope we’ll see lots of them in September.”
