Chinese dragons

Our childcare students acknowledged the Chinese New Year by parading through the college with their own home-made Chinese dragons!

The students collected £130.86 for The Starlight Children’s Foundation parading through the classrooms with drums and totems.

Sue Greenstreet, Senior Lecturer in Health & Social care, said: “Many thanks to everyone who supported the dragons, and well done to the students for making such a great effort. The dragons are now looking for a new home!”

Students and staff also raised £500 for the Haiti earthquake appeal. The college’s Supported Learning students raised £158.87 with a collection, and the rest was raised by a staff coffee morning and dress-down day.
