Students celebrate A level results!
Our students got their results on 19 August 2010.
Our students achieved a 97%
pass rate for completed A level qualifications.
Zoe
Martin - B (Fast track Chemistry)
Zoe is going to Royal Holloway University to
study Biomedical Science. She has a little 2-year old girl who went
to the college nursery.
"I’m going to be really sad to leave the college. It has
been so good here and my daughter really loved the
college nursery. Packing it all into 1 year has certainly been
hard but good and well worth it!”
Daniel Shaw -
A*AB (Maths, Physics and Further Maths)
Daniel is going to Birmingham University to
study Nanoscale Physics. Daniel got these results through the
fast track programme which means getting all 6 qualifications
within one year.
"The college really helped, and my teachers were
amazing. Some staff went out of their way to
help me by giving extra lessons and help during
break times."
David Leahy
- AAB (Maths, Further Maths and Physics)
David has another year of A Levels until he decides where
to go to university but he is hoping to go to Warwick or Bath to do
Maths and Physics. He is really pleased with his
results.
Connor Scott
- BBC (Maths, Business and Physics)
“Originally, I wasn’t going to go on to
university but now I’ve got these results, I really
want to do something with them.
"I’d like to study business
at university and so I’m taking a year off first to get some money
together for university."
Gemma Hughes - AA (Fast Track Maths and Further
Maths)
Gemma's going to Cardiff University to study
Physics.
“The maths tutors were particularly helpful, very
supportive and without their help I wouldn’t have
got these results!"
Mary and
Juliet Kinuthia - BC (Maths and Art) & ABBC (Maths, Media,
Further Maths and Art)
Mary said: "I’m really going to miss this
college as we have been here for 3 years and enjoyed
every minute. The teachers have been really helpful. The
maths teachers have been a real positive for us.”
Both girls are going to Brunel University,
Mary to study Product Design and Juliet to study Maths.
Charlotte
Sage - BCD (Film, Media and Sociology)
Charlotte is going to Wolverhampton University to study
Media & Cultural Studies.
“I really knuckled down to get these results and am
thrilled with them – I’ve even smudged my mascara
with tears of joy! I particularly enjoyed doing
Sociology because the lessons were such fun – we did lots of
role-playing, debating and there was always a good
atmosphere.”

College Principal, Howard O’Keeffe:
“Congratulations must
go to all our students on a splendid set of results and thanks to
our outstanding staff for all they’ve done to
support them through this important time in their lives.
“Everyone’s done a particularly good job
this year as all our students moved from our old building to our
new one for the 2nd year of their course. Now they are well
equipped for their future, and we will welcome their
successors in September.”
