The audience enjoy Joseph Porter's soliloquyOpen-air theatre

Our performing arts students brought theatre to life with their outdoor promenade performance in beautiful Lily Hill Park.

Theatre lovers enjoyed selected monologues from classic plays such as As You Like It and Trojan Women.

The performers, a group called ‘Dare2Dream’ met their audience outside The Running Horse, and then led them to different parts of the park for each scene.

Kaylea Watkins, Amy Newell, Joseph Porter and Lauren Rooney in MacbethBen Lewi, Performing arts lecturer, said:

“We had great receptions from all our audiences and many were surprised by the hidden beauty of Bracknell. Despite the England match on Friday night we had a good turnout, and also for the rest of the performances. As a result we’re hoping to do something bigger and better still next year.

“The students have now had great experience of outdoor performance and tailoring their acting to specific sites; something even the professionals can struggle with.”
