Bracknell Public Service Show

The Bracknell Public Service Show is a careers show run by the Uniformed Public Service department at Bracknell and Wokingham College. The purpose of the show is to promote careers and volunteering in the emergency services, armed forces and other related organisations and charities. The show is designed to bring all the services together in one place for Schools and Colleges to visit. Whilst mainly aimed at Schools and Colleges this event is also open to the general public and is completely free to attend.

2016 show

Bracknell Public Service Show 2016
This year’s show was held on the 29th of September at Bracknell Rugby Club, Lily Hill Park, Lily Hill Drive, Bracknell, Berkshire RG12 2UG. More than 25 services attended with more than 20 service vehicles, equipment, personnel and working animals. Highlights this year included an inflatable assault course, demonstrations including a car being cut open by the fire service and search and rescue dogs, half hour seminars from the services, a smoke tent, BB gun range and classic emergency vehicles.

History of the show

The first show was held on the 7th of May 2015 at Bracknell Rugby Club, more than 18 services turned up bringing with them more than 16 service vehicles plus equipment and personnel from various departments. Specialist units such as Search and Rescue dogs and Police horses also attended. Schools and Colleges from as far away as Croydon, Southampton and Cirencester attended the show.
