Bracknell Public Service Show

The Bracknell Public Service Show is a careers show run by the Uniformed Public Service department at Bracknell & Wokingham College. The purpose of the show is to promote careers and volunteering in the emergency services, armed forces and other related organisations and charities. The show is designed to bring all the services together in one place for schools and colleges to visit. Whilst mainly aimed at schools and colleges this event is also open to the general public and is completely free to attend.

2018 Show

The Bracknell Public Service Show is planned for Thursday 4th of October 2018, the timings and location will be released at a later date. This year's show is set to be bigger and better than ever. The show is free for Schools, Colleges and the public to attend and is also free for services to exhibit at. This event is designed to be hands on with students being able to speak to real service personnel, being able to touch real equipment, vehicles and animals used by the services. All enquiries from Services, Schools and College's and corporate sponsors interested in supporting the event can be made to Daniel.bell@bracknell.ac.uk

History of the show

The first show was held on the 7th of May 2015 at Bracknell Rugby Club, more than 18 services turned up bringing with them more than 16 service vehicles plus equipment and personnel from various departments. Specialist units such as Search and Rescue dogs and Police horses also attended. Schools and Colleges from as far away as Croydon, Southampton and Cirencester attended the show.
