English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Whether you’re already fairly confident in speaking English or do not know very much English at all – we will help you to improve your English language, speaking, reading and writing skills for use in many different situations.

At Bracknell & Wokingham College we will help you to feel more confident in your everyday life too. By teaching you life skills you will learn how to communicate with others in everyday situations, and will help you get ready for further studying or to go on into work.

Course content

This full-time course is suitable for young people whose first language is not English. You will study English language, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

You will be studying for nationally-recognised qualifications and will be required to take the ESOL Skills for Life exams. One of the main aims of the course is to get you ready for further studies or for work.

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements. You will be interviewed and take a placement test to assess your level of English. You will then study at a level which is right for you. All offers are subject to eligibility and fee status.

Further study in ESOL, or in another full-time course.
