Guide to Applying

1. Find the right course:

Search the website for the course you want. Need advice? Contact us, we’ll be happy to help, or you can come and see us at one of our open events

2. Apply online:

Click apply on the course you're interested in. Complete the online form and submit it. We will let you know when we receive the form.

3. Interview:

We will arrange an informal interview for your son or daughter with their course tutor. After the interview we will offer a suitable place. Alternatively come to one of our drop in interview sessions, details here.

4. Course Welcome Day:

A little taste of college life before starting in September. We will also send out an enrolment pack which will have important information, enrolment dates and what to bring during enrolment week.

5. GCSE Results Day:

If the results are better or worse than expected, don't panic! Your daughter or son can call or pop in to talk through the options. We will be having a GCSE Advice day on results day and the day after, where you and your son or daughter can come and discuss their options with our staff.

6. Enrolment weeks:

Your son or daughter will need to keep some time free during these weeks.

7. Start college:

Term starts early September with induction activities.

8. Stay informed:

We will keep you informed with updates and invite you to come and talk to us about how things are going.

Wanting to join after September?

Contact us!

Students might want to join a course later than September for a number of reasons. Obviously it's best if students start a course from the very beginning but speak to us as soon as possible and we'll do all we can to help.

Starting a course late will be up to the course manager and tutor and we will not normally let students start if they've missed more than half a term.
