Bursary - Financial Assistance for College Students

 

16-19 Discretionary Bursary Fund Application

Areas of financial support if the combined household income is below £21,000
  • Travel if using public transport and if you live more than 3 miles from College up to a maximum of £750 per academic year
  • Lunch vouchers
  • Books, equipment and clothing where it is a requirement for the course (see next page for high band and low band costs for each course)
  • UK Trips and University visits
  • Childcare  - you may be eligible for Care to Learn (please speak to a member of the Student Services team for more information)

 

Areas of financial support if the combined household income is between

£21,000 and £31,000

  1. Travel if using public transport and if you live more than 3 miles from College up to a maximum of £750 per academic year

 

Eligibility Criteria
  • You are aged 18 or under on 31 August 2013.
  • You are ordinarily resident in the UK and the College’s Admissions Team have categorised you as a ‘Home fee payer’.
  • You have been accepted onto an Ofsted inspected programme.

19+ Discretionary Learner Support Bursary Fund Application

Areas of financial support if the combined household income is below £21,000
  • Travel if using public transport and if you live more than 3 miles from College up to £750 per academic year
  • Lunch vouchers
  • Books, equipment and clothing where it is a requirement for the course (see next page for high band and low band costs for each course)
  • UK Trips and University visits
  • 25% remission/reimbursement of tuition fees
  • Exam costs up to £100 (only if the exam cost isn’t included as part of the tuition fee)
  • Childcare if you are 20 or older up to the value of £160 per week for teaching weeks only (if you are 19 you must apply for Care to Learn and should speak to a member of the Student Services team for more information)

  • Travel if using public transport and if you live more than 3 miles from College up to £750 per academic year

 

Eligibility Criteria
  • You are aged 19 or over on 31 August 2013 and studying a Level 1 or 2 course.
  • You are aged 19 -23 on 31 August 2013 and studying a Level 3 or 4 course.
  • You are ordinarily resident in the UK and the College’s Admissions Team have categorised you as a ‘Home fee payer’.

§  You have been accepted onto and are studying a programme of Adult Skills learner provision. This currently includes full time A Level / BTEC courses, ESOL and Access to Higher Education
