  • It's mainly for 16-18 year olds
  • You'll get paid an appropriate salary
  • You'll gain an NVQ level 2
  • You'll spend one day per week at college 
  • It'll take 12-18 months to complete

 

How to apply

Advanced Apprenticeship

Get the skills you need to go into management or become a technician.

  • To apply, you need at least five GCSEs at Grade A-C, or an apprenticeship in the same subject
  • It's for people aged 16 and over
  • You'll get paid an appropriate salary
  • You'll gain an NVQ level 3
  • You'll spend one day per week at college
  • You'll use a career training programme designed for you
  • It'll take at least two years to complete

 

You don’t have to stop at the Advanced Apprenticeship - if you want to go on to University you will find many institutes of Higher Education will offer you a place on a Foundation Degree or other higher level qualifications.

Get work experience and qualifications alongside school.

  • It's for 14-16 year olds
  • You'll get 50 days of onsite work experience
  • You'll gain an NVQ level 2 as well as your school subjects
