Learning Resources Centre


The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) at our Church Road Centre situated on the fifth floor is free and open to all college students. 

It is welcoming and busy study environment with a wealth of information. You can access everything you may need to support or research for your course and studies, or simply relax with a good novel and enjoy the view.

What resources can I use?

  • PCs and laptops with internet access and e-learning software
  • An up-to-date library of books, newspapers, magazines, CDs and DVDs
  • A computerised library catalogue
  • Online resources and E-books
  • Photocopying, scanning and printing
  • Quiet zone with individual study spaces
  • Study tables for groups
  • Friendly support staff!
The LRC also has a range of resources for you to look at to help you with future course progression, employability skills, your career aspirations, and even, taking a gap year and doing voluntary work.

When is it open? In term-time:

Monday 9.00am - 5pm
Tuesday-Thursday 9.00am - 7.30pm
Friday 9.00am - 2pm
In the holidays, hours can vary. Check with LRC or reception staff.

How do I get started?

To sign up, just call in to the LRC with your ID card. You’ll also need this to use or borrow any resources or use a PC.  

Borrowing from the LRC

Everything's free to borrow! You can borrow up to 6 items at a time for a limited period. You can renew an item for a longer time, unless someone else has already reserved it. Fines will be charged if you return items late.
Can't find what you need? We can suggest alternative resources, or you can reserve a book that’s being used by someone else.
