Student Services

At Bracknell & Wokingham College we do much more than just teach courses. We have a great network of support to help our students achieve their potential in the subjects they are passionate about.

Needing extra support should not be a worry for anyone coming to college. We welcome students of all abilities and the sooner we are told if extra support is needed the more we can help.

Ways we can help

  • Transition support: To help you settle in
  • Tutorial Support: to give you ongoing support and guidance
  • Financial Support through the college bursary scheme
  • Practical support: Our Student Services team are on hand to advise you on a range of things from finance and careers through to health, welfare and personal support.
  • Peer Mentors: Students who have been with us for a year or more can become Peer Mentors; helping and supporting our new students to adjust to college life
  • Student representation: students can become course reps or run for Student President to take the views of students to college managers
  • Counsellor: to provide specialist support to overcome challenges in life
  • Specialist Careers Advisors: to help you make the next step
  • Cross college events: We organise a range of cross college extra-curricular events including the college rag week

Study Support

Study support is available to all of our students. Our specialist team can help you with English, maths and study skills such as proofreading, research, planning and writing assignments and much more. These are all important employability skills.

This support will either be on a one-to-one basis or in small groups at a time to fit around your main course.

You can find out about our SEND Local Offer at Bracknell Forest Council's website.
