Woodley Hill House art show
Adult students in art
and ceramics celebrated the end of their courses with an
exhibition of their year's work.
80 students presented their
artwork from our courses held all over
Berkshire. Around 30 showed off their
ceramics and sculpture from
courses at Woodley Hill House.
The artists' ages ranged from 18 to late
eighties, with all abilities represented.
Specialist classes in drawing the face and figure, life drawing and
sculpting were also shown.
The art work covered a variety of media including
acrylics, charcoal, oils, pastels and watercolour.
The ceramics were made in earthenware and
stoneware and demonstrated the techniques of coiling, slabbing, the
wheel and sculpting and different methods of decoration using
underglazes and glazes.
