What is CVA?
CVA compares 16-19 year olds’ actual
grades for Level 3 with their expected Level 3
grades. Level 3 qualifications include A Levels and BTEC
National Diplomas.
A student’s expected grade is based mainly on their achievements
at Level 2 - including GCSEs and BTEC First Diplomas.
Other criteria for working out expected grades include gender,
qualification type, and size of the learning programme.
