What will happen in the event of adverse weather

In bad weather – such as severe snow or ice – the Principal will decide whether college sites will close for normal lessons (there are different procedures for exams – see below). We will let students and staff know in the following ways:

• Website
• Facebook  and twitter 
  You do not need to sign up to social media to see these messages but if you ‘like’ or ‘follow’ our accounts you will see the messages come up automatically in your newsfeed
• Student and staff college email
• College intranet
• Text message – to students and staff, if you have given us permission to contact you and your current mobile phone number
• Local news media

Even if the college is closed for normal lessons dated exams will not be cancelled but may be re-located and they may start later. Full information about location and start times will be on our website and social media.

Course interviews and ESOL/EFL assessments will be re-scheduled, coursework deadlines will be moved to the next appropriate day the college is open.
